Työskentelyni punaisena lankana on usein toisto. Pistojen, silmukoiden tai viivan pitkäkestoinen välillä loputtomalta tuntuva toistaminen. Toistamisessa yhdistyvät tylsyys, keskittyminen, meditatiivisuus ja näistä syntyvä paras mahdollinen olotila - flow.

Rajojen yli meneminen, lokeroiden ohittaminen sekä ylitse pursuaminen ovat mielessäni pyöriviä teemoja, joita yritän visualisoida.

 

Työni ovat välillä eräänlaisia tylsyydensietotestejä itselleni, jolloin puuduttavuuden ylittämisestä syntyy tekemisen nautinto.

The core in my work is often repetition. Repeating stitches, loops or a line for a long time, sometimes seemingly endlessly. Repetition combines boredom, concentration, meditativeness and the best possible state of being created from these - flow. ​

 

Crossing borders, bypassing the boxes and bursting through are themes running through my mind, which I try to visualize.

 

My works are sometimes a kind of boredom tolerance test for myself, in which case the pleasure of doing comes from overcoming the numbness.
